A qualified Ayurvedic physician (BAMS or higher) has undergone a structured medical education, distinct from wellness coaches or influencers who use Ayurvedic terminology without formal training. It is reasonable, and encouraged, to ask about a practitioner's qualifications directly.
Realistic expectations matter: acute complaints often respond within days to weeks, while chronic conditions typically need a sustained course of treatment measured in months, with periodic reassessment along the way.
